A creation jointly developed by Amcor Flexibles and GSK, the Formpack® Dessiflex Ultra for Augmentin®, has won the 2019 Alufoil Trophy for product protection.
Laura Fernandez, Senior Packaging Technologist at Marks & Spencer, who headed the jury this year, commented:
This package does a good job in many ways. In particular, its ability to protect the product allows the antibiotic to be used, which is very sensitive to humidity, with greater safety in tropical wetlands. The blister therefore fulfills many requirements and meets the GSK criteria for the protection of operators and patients.
Noemi Bertolino, Product Development Director, Amcor Flexibles EMEA, commented:
We are very honored to accept this Alufoil Trophy for the Formpack® Dessiflex Ultra for Augmentin®, in the product protection category, with our excellent partners GSK and CAM Partena. Our shared target is to provide enhanced protection to the Augmentin product and ultimately to the many patients who use it. Achieving this target and receiving the award is something that makes our entire team extremely proud.
